PakWheels 2014 Automobile Show

Motorcar fanatics, aficionados and bufffs alike gathered in the city if lights as PakWheels 20th automobile show commenced at Liberty market, Gulberg this Sunday. People from all walks of life were seen visiting the charismatic event which hosted guest appearances by celebrities and a concert that featured well-known figures.

An eminent personality in the world of cricket and politics, Imran Khan is also best known for his contribution in the struggling world of research on Cancer in Pakistan. His widely known Cancer hospital and research institute, Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital, is functioning on the generosity of various well-wishers, donors and fundraisers. After huge success of the first Shaukat Khanam Memorial Cancer Hospital in Lahore, the charitable institute has recently announced the launch of a similar institute in Peshawar to provide the free and state-of-the-art facility to the public of KPK.

PakWheels has collaborated with Shaukat Khanam with its agenda of fighting cancer and held an automobile show on 16th of March, 2014 at Liberty Chowk to show solidarity with the cause.

The event witnessed an increase in turnout as the day progressed. The spectators consisted not only of young automotive enthusiasts but also of families that have come out to see their favorite cars in action.

Summel Sarfaraz, Director, Pakwheels said,

“We are committed bringing family festivals like the autoshow in limelight because the event bring smiles to the faces of the citizens of the city.”

Vehicles from renowned companies such as Rolls Royce, BMC, Cadillac, Porsche, Jaguar, Chevrolet were put on display. Categories ranged from modified 4x4s to sports and vintages.

The event was also graced by the appearance of HE Mr Bharat Raj Padyal, ambassador of Nepal, who was presented shield by director of PakWheels, Sumeel Sarfaraz.
Exciting activities for children were also held and the showmanship of the motorists dazzled the spectators as well.
